Energy major Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), alongside its downstream subsidiaries Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL) and ONGC Petro additions Ltd (OPaL), officially incorporated a public limited joint venture company named ONGC Petrochemicals Marketing Ltd (OPML).

OPML has been set up with an authorized and subscribed share capital of ₹50 crore, split into 5 crore equity shares at a face value of ₹10 each. Ownership of the joint venture is distributed in a 50:25:25 ratio, with ONGC holding the majority 50% stake, while MRPL and OPaL hold 25% each.

The primary objective of OPML is to establish a single, consolidated, market-facing platform to manage the integrated marketing, branding, pricing, distribution, logistics, and trading of petrochemicals, chemicals, and kindred products for the entire ONGC Group. By unifying these operations under one umbrella, the group intends to eliminate internal redundancies, leverage mutual strengths in refining, and boost overall downstream competitiveness.
