This collaboration will bridge cutting-edge research with practical industry applications, accelerating the commercialization of breakthrough green technologies
Guided by its vision of ‘Delivering Sustainable Solutions’, DCM Shriram Chemicals launched two projects with one of India's premier institutes, Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai. These projects will focus on valorising greenhouse gases like CO₂ and biomass-derived lignin into green solvents and advanced materials.
The projects were formally launched earlier this month, in the presence of Prof. A. B. Pandit, Vice Chancellor of ICT Mumbai, Prof. S T Mhaske, Head Dept. of Polymer & Surface Engineering and Sabaleel Nandy, ED & CEO and Dr. Debabrata Rautaray, Chief Product Development & Innovation Officer, DCM Shriram Chemicals.
These specialized R&D projects are tailored to DCM Shriram’s objectives and will be conducted under the supervision of designated experts from ICT, ensuring high standards of academic and research rigor. This collaboration will bridge cutting-edge research with practical industry applications, accelerating the commercialization of breakthrough green technologies.
These projects were launched as part of the MoU which was signed between DCM Shriram Chemicals, a unit of DCM Shriram Ltd and ICT, Mumbai in 2024, reinforcing a shared commitment to sustainable innovation. Stay tuned as we pioneer sustainable solutions for a greener future.
