IMCD Group, a global leader in the formulation and distribution of speciality chemicals and ingredients, inaugurated a new integrated headquarters and laboratory hub in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia last week. The modernized site consolidates all of IMCD Malaysia’s administrative and laboratory operations into a single location to enhance technical collaboration and support.

The new location is designed to support the customers and suppliers of its Beauty & Personal Care, Food & Nutrition, and Home Care I&I Business Groups. It combines technical capability, application development, and customer engagement spaces to make collaboration easier, faster, and more effective.

This move strengthens IMCD’s footprint in Southeast Asian life science and specialty markets, building on the 2023 addition of Euro Chemo-Pharma and Biofresh. It highlights a strategic commitment to proximity, technical expertise, and collaborative, sustainable solutions.

IMCD’s Kuala Lumpur hub centralizes technical and commercial teams, offering partners direct access to specialized labs and market expertise in one location. By combining logistics, digital tools, and technical capabilities, the hub reinforces a commitment to operational excellence.

The site includes a Food & Nutrition Applications Laboratory and Bistro equipped for the development of formulation and concepts across food, bakery, and confectionery. Together, the Bistro and Applications Laboratory provide an immersive, hands-on environment where customers co-create trend-driven formulation solutions, moving efficiently from ideation, functional recipe and processing support, to indulgent ready-to-evaluate samples with expert technical support.

The Beauty & Personal Care Laboratory and Studio accelerate product development for skin, sun, hair, and color cosmetics. Featuring over 20 trend-driven, market-ready chassis formulations, the Studio delivers tailored prototypes in just half a day.

The Home Care I&I Laboratory supports product development through advanced testing and formulation optimization, focusing on key areas including laundry, dishwash, surface care, vehicle care, air care, and pet care.
