Novopor inaugurates pilot facility in Vizag to strengthen innovation in chemicals

The facility provides a critical platform for accelerating commercialization of new technologies in agrochemicals, performance materials, and specialty chemicals

Novopor Advanced Science Private Limited has inaugurated a state-of-the-art pilot plant facility at its Vizag Unit-01 (SEZ), marking an important step in strengthening its innovation and scale-up capabilities.

The facility was inaugurated by Padma Bhushan Prof. J. B. Joshi in the presence of members of Novopor’s Board of Directors: Geeta Mathur, Independent Director and Radhesh R. Welling, MD & CEO. The event discussed the role of innovation in driving national growth.

Designed to bridge the gap between research and full-scale manufacturing, the new pilot plant facility will support early-stage process development, optimization, and scale-up. With advanced process systems and stringent safety and environmental safeguards, it provides a critical platform for accelerating commercialization of new technologies in agrochemicals, performance materials, and specialty chemicals.

Speaking on the occasion, Welling said: “The Pilot Plant is a strategic investment that enhances our ability to deliver innovative, sustainable, and customer-focused solutions. It strengthens our technology-driven growth journey and reinforces our commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.”
