Stahl, the global leader in speciality coatings for flexible materials, has announced the reopening of its advanced coatings facility in Ranipet, The reopening underscores Stahl’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and customer collaboration through locally produced, high-performance speciality coatings.

Originally inaugurated in April 2000, the Ranipet facility remained operational until its closure in 2019. Following Stahl’s recent divestment of its wet-end activities, the site has now been officially reopened with a renewed focus on leather finishing, performance coatings, and packaging coatings.

The upgraded facility integrates coatings formulation production, research and development, application laboratories, and testing capabilities—all under one roof. This comprehensive setup enhances collaboration, accelerates innovation, and enables Stahl to co-create advanced solutions with its partners.

The enhanced innovation lab allows the company to respond swiftly to evolving market needs and scale operations in line with rising demand, driving innovation from within the region. Stahl also plans to continue strengthening its manufacturing, R&D, and application capabilities at the Ranipet site in alignment with market opportunities.
