ALPLA is expanding its packaging portfolio with a metal-free foam dispenser pump made entirely from polypropylene, targeting personal care and pharmaceutical applications.
The new mono-material pump is designed for recyclability and will be unveiled by ALPLAinject, the company’s injection moulding division, at Beautyworld Middle East in Dubai in early October 2026.
Weighing just 25 grams in its standard configuration, the patented dispenser combines a lightweight design with a twistlock function that reduces space requirements during transport and on retail shelves. The launch adds a new foam dispenser category to ALPLA’s growing range of mono-material dispensing solutions.
"Premium care products deserve high-quality and well-designed packaging. The dispenser is the most important point of contact. We can offer our customers a tailor-made, durable and, for the first time, recyclable solution for foamers," announces Sree Hari R Nair, Global Head of Business Pumps and Devices at ALPLAinject.
Following a successful pilot phase, ALPLA plans to move towards commercial production in cooperation with anchor customers.
The polypropylene dispenser is designed to address growing demand for recyclable packaging and evolving regulatory requirements. The system is compatible with bottles in various volume sizes and is offered in a standard version with extensive customisation options.
Brands can choose the colour and shape of the pump head and closure, while the use of post-consumer recycled material (PCR) can further reduce the packaging’s environmental footprint.
The development builds on ALPLA’s existing mono-material dispenser pump portfolio and reflects the company’s push to expand recyclable packaging solutions through ALPLAinject.

ALPLA says the recyclable system can also contribute to strengthening circular packaging systems in its national markets, while giving personal care and pharmaceutical brands another mono-material option for foam dispensing applications.
