Jakson Green Gopalpur Private Limited (JGGPL) received precertification from CertifHy for its renewable hydrogen and green ammonia facility in Gopalpur, Odisha. The precertification aligns with European Union rules for clean fuels.

This green ammonia and renewable hydrogen plant in Gopalpur, Odisha, India, will produce 600 metric tons per day using an electrolyzer bank and a Haber-Bosch synthesis loop for global and domestic markets.

The project intends to target commercial operations being targeted for FY 2029-2030.

The precertification process verified the project's expected compliance with EU Renewable Energy Directive frameworks and the CertifHy EU Voluntary Scheme for Renewable Fuels of Non-biological Origin (RFNBO).

As per CertifHy, Precertification is increasingly used by renewable hydrogen and ammonia developers as a strategic instrument to support Final Investment Decisions (FID), facilitate discussions with investors and offtakers, and strengthen positioning toward export markets requiring compliance with European sustainability requirements.

The precertification exercise combined an audit assessment conducted by SGS (Société Générale de Surveillance), acting as a Cooperating Certification Body under the CertifHy EU Voluntary Scheme, together with advisory support provided by Hinicio.
