Brenntag acquires of Lawrence industries to expand portfolio in UK

The transaction significantly expands Brenntag’s Material Science high-quality portfolio of technologies and sustainable solutions from top tier suppliers

Brenntag, the global market leader in chemicals and ingredients distribution, announced the acquisition of Lawrence Industries Ltd., a leading independent specialties distributor in the UK.

This acquisition further strengthens the company’s position within Material Science and across the Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants and Elastomers (CASE), Construction, Polymer and Rubber industries, as it accumulates a broad eco-system of leading toptier supply partners and a high-quality portfolio, most strongly driving market needs of formulation solutions and leading sustainability footprint.

Founded more than 50 years ago, Lawrence Industries is a technically driven independent specialty chemicals distribution company based in Tamworth, Staffordshire. The businesses generated sales of approximately 30 million GBP in 2023.

Financial details of the deal are not being disclosed. Signing and closing of the transaction occurred simultaneously.
