Chemical storage and transportation involve significant risks, which is why there are several safety measures and regulations in place to ensure the safety of people and the environment. There is a need to ensure a safe design, location, and installation of storage and handling systems as well as maintaining appropriate safety signage with labels and placards. Also, chemicals that are incompatible with one another should be stored separately, and all chemicals should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated, and secured location.

There is separate regulation for each mode of transportation chemicals. Several regulations oversee the safe storage and transportation of hazardous chemicals. Moreover, the containers used for transportation, such as drums, tanks, and bulk bags, should be appropriate to transport the specific chemical and should meet regulatory requirements.

Most importantly, drivers and handlers of chemical transportation should be correctly trained and educated to handle and respond to any emergencies.

The session will highlight how chemical storage and transportation require strict adherence to safety measures and regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of the society and the environment.
