EMCO Chemical Distributors has agreed to acquire the assets and operations of Pride Chemical Solutions, a founder-owned industrial chemical distributor serving the U.S. Northeast, in a deal that will expand EMCO’s regional reach.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 1970 by Arthur Dhom Sr. and now led by his son, Art Dhom Jr., Pride is headquartered in Holtsville, New York. The company employs more than 80 people and distributes, blends and packages more than 3,000 SKUs to more than 1,500 active customers across a broad range of end markets.
Pride operates two distribution and packaging facilities and maintains its own delivery fleet, allowing it to provide just-in-time deliveries across its service area.
The acquisition is part of EMCO’s strategy to expand its geographic footprint through both organic growth and acquisitions of complementary businesses.

For Pride, the transaction marks a new chapter for a business that has remained under family ownership since its founding more than five decades ago.
