The acquisition is designed to deliver real value to customers through a denser transport and service infrastructure
HOYER Group, a global leader in logistics solutions for the chemical, gas, and food industries, has acquired Danish family-owned Dantra Group, significantly strengthening its footprint in Scandinavia. The move reinforces HOYER’s presence across Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Lithuania, covering both road and intermodal operations.
“With the acquisition of the Dantra Group, we are consistently pursuing our strategic growth path through targeted investments, enhancing both our network and our capacity for innovation. Together, we offer our customers even more comprehensive and sustainable logistics solutions—especially in future-oriented areas such as New Energies and the Circular Economy,” said Björn Schniederkötter, CEO of the HOYER Group.
Dantra Group, a specialist in transporting liquid chemicals and providing depot and cleaning services, brings extensive expertise that complements HOYER’s existing portfolio. The acquisition is designed to deliver real value to customers through a denser transport and service infrastructure and innovative logistics solutions, including opportunities in gas logistics, specialty chemicals, carbon capturing, and the circular economy.
“The integration into the HOYER Group gives our customers access to a global network and extensive expertise. At the same time, our values as a family-owned business remain intact—safety, security, quality, and sustainability will continue to be at the heart of everything we do,” emphasized Marc Jeel, CEO of Dantra Group.
The partnership is expected to expand services for Dantra’s customers, particularly in intermodal transport and overseas shipping, while offering tailored, sustainable, and efficient solutions to industries such as chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and specialty products.
“What connects us with the Dantra Group is not only our shared business objectives, but above all, our common values: responsibility, sustainability, and the highest quality standards. As long-established family-owned companies, we place great importance on safety, integrity, and acting in partnership—towards our employees, our customers, and the environment. Together, we are creating an even stronger foundation for sustainable growth in Northern Europe,” said Schniederkötter.
