INOX Air Products (INOXAP) has reached a significant operational milestone by commissioning a new, PESO-licensed large-package specialty gas warehouse in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu. This facility is designed specifically to support India's expanding solar photovoltaic (PV) cell manufacturing sector by providing a reliable and safe domestic supply of critical high-purity gases.

The warehouse is licensed by the Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organisation (PESO) to store mission-critical specialty gases.

For solar manufacturers, INOXAP’s facilities—including the newly commissioned PESO-licensed specialty gas warehouse in Tamil Nadu—provide a decisive advantage in supply assurance and operational agility. By maintaining substantial on-site inventories of mission-critical gases like Nitrous Oxide, Silane, and Hydrogen mixtures, INOXAP significantly reduces import lead times and minimizes the risk of global supply disruptions. This infrastructure ensures production continuity and improves operational efficiency for partners, directly supporting India’s goal of becoming a global hub for solar manufacturing.

Speaking on this milestone, Siddharth Jain, Managing Director, INOX Air Products said, “This milestone marks a significant step in building India’s self-reliant solar energy ecosystem. By establishing this large package warehouse approved by PESO for specialty gases, we are not merely adding infrastructure, but are also strengthening the foundations of import reliability, safety and innovation, that India’s solar industry needs to scale with confidence. At INOX Air Products, our commitment is firmly nation-first, while investing ahead of demand and anticipating future industrial needs. We are proud to enable advanced manufacturing and support India’s journey towards energy security and global leadership in clean technologies. We are grateful to PESO for their progressive outlook which is enabling innovations like these.”

The new capability firmly positions INOXAP as an integrated and strategic partner in aiding large-scale solar manufacturing operations. With safety as the cornerstone of the warehouse’s core-design, the consolidated storage of mission critical gases at one location would optimise logistics, reduce import transit time and enable strategic stocking to respond swiftly to the dynamic customer demand.
