Univar Solutions is expanding its collaboration with Dow to distribute advanced homecare and industrial cleaning specialty ingredients across the United States and Canada, broadening North American access to Dow’s SupraCare portfolio of polymers and specialty additives.
The agreement, announced through Univar Solutions’ Ingredients + Specialties (I+S) from Univar Solutions division, is designed to give formulators access to multi-functional ingredients aimed at improving cleaning performance, formulation flexibility and product development.

The Dow portfolio targets applications including dishwashing and laundry care, with SupraCare polymers and advanced additives offering functions such as enhanced foaming, hard-surface cleaning, improved sensory feel and optimized softening.
The ingredients can also improve formulation compatibility, supporting more efficient liquid and powder detergent systems as manufacturers respond to evolving consumer and market demands.

Beyond distribution, the expanded collaboration combines the specialty ingredients expertise of Univar Solutions with Dow’s materials science capabilities.
Customers will have access to market insights, technical expertise and application-focused formulation support through Univar Solutions’ specialty ingredients team. The company’s global Solution Center network includes a flagship homecare and industrial cleaning laboratory in Houston, Texas, where teams work with customers on product development and formulation challenges.
The companies say the combination of Univar Solutions’ technical and market resources with Dow’s expertise in high-performance and sustainable chemistries will help formulators accelerate development and bring advanced cleaning technologies to market.
