Coromandel International, one of India’s leading agri-solutions providers, has achieved the prestigious Responsible Care Certification from the Indian Chemical Council (ICC), reinforcing its commitment to world-class safety, green stewardship and responsible operations.
The certification, valid from April 2026 to March 2029, covers all 18 manufacturing facilities across Coromandel’s Nutrients, Crop Protection Chemicals, Specialty Nutrients and Bio businesses, placing the company among a select group of organizations worldwide to meet the chemical industry’s most stringent standards for safety and sustainability.
A globally recognized initiative of the chemical industry, Responsible Care focuses on advancing excellence in health, safety, environmental protection, product stewardship and security across the entire value chain.
Administered globally by the International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA) and implemented across more than 70 countries, the framework enables companies to strengthen responsible manufacturing practices and respond to growing stakeholder expectations.
Coromandel achieved the certification after a rigorous assessment and verification process conducted by the ICC.
The company implemented a structured improvement programme spanning manufacturing operations, business functions and its supplier ecosystem, with targeted initiatives in process safety, employee wellbeing, environmental performance, product responsibility, distribution safety and community engagement.
"This certification is a testament to Coromandel’s consistent focus on responsible manufacturing and high safety standards.
