JSR Group's Techno UMG receives ISCC PLUS certification at Ube plant

Obtaining this certification enables Techno UMG to provide products that are allocated sustainable raw materials

Techno-UMG Co., a JSR Group company which conducts plastics business, received ISCC PLUS Certification at Ube Plant on its ABS resins business such as ABS resins and ASA resins on March 18, 2024.

ISCC PLUS Certification (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification) is a sustainability certification program for biomass and recycled raw materials. Obtaining this certification enables Techno UMG to provide products that are allocated sustainable raw materials (biomass recycling, etc.) based on the mass balance method.

ABS resins are widely used in a variety of fields, including automotive parts, electronics, and building materials, and demand is increasing. As a leading ABS resins company, Techno UMG are committed to environmental protection and sustainability and has obtained ISCC PLUS Certification in order to contribute for reducing environmental impact and endure sustainable supply throughout its supply chain.

Techno UMG plans to obtain the certification for its Yokkaichi and Otake Plants, and are committed to contributing to society’s challenges in an environmentally friendly manner.
