Kent secures detailed engineering contract for OXEA Bay City project

Engineering work on the detailed design phase is already underway and is scheduled for completion later this year

Kent has strengthened its partnership with OXEA Corporation after securing detailed engineering services for a major specialty chemicals project at the company's Bay City facility under a long-term engineering services agreement.

The award follows Kent's successful completion of the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) phase for the project earlier this year and marks the next stage of a broader collaboration between the two companies.

The project is being delivered under a three-year Master Services Agreement (MSA) signed in 2025, which establishes a framework for Kent to provide engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) services across OXEA's operations.

Engineering work on the detailed design phase is already underway and is scheduled for completion later this year.

The investment underscores OXEA's focus on expanding its specialty chemicals manufacturing capabilities while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and operational performance.

In addition to the EPCM programme, Kent has completed a comprehensive laser scanning campaign across OXEA's Bay City facility, creating high-quality digital asset data to support future engineering, maintenance and capital projects.

“We are delighted to continue strengthening our relationship with OXEA through this important project and broader engineering services partnership,” said Tom Bullard, EVP Americas at Kent.

“The successful completion of the FEED phase and subsequent award of detailed engineering demonstrates the confidence OXEA has in Kent’s technical capabilities, project delivery expertise and commitment to helping clients achieve their strategic objectives.”
