MAIRE lands €110 million in new awards

Deepening LNG push across three continents

  • By ICN Bureau | August 28, 2026
MAIRE has secured approximately €110 million in new awards and additional works, strengthening its position in gas monetization and LNG projects across South America, Europe and Asia.

The awards, secured through its Integrated E&C Solutions (IE&CS) business unit, include strategic engineering work that could pave the way for larger downstream contracts, particularly in the fast-growing LNG market.

In South America, MAIRE's subsidiary Tecnimont has been awarded an early engineering contract supporting a large-scale gas monetization initiative. The assignment will define the project's technical framework and establish the foundation for its next development stages.

The project is expected to advance into the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) phase following a Final Investment Decision, potentially extending Tecnimont's involvement across the project's full lifecycle. The planned facility will form a key part of the midstream infrastructure needed to process natural gas before it is liquefied and exported to international LNG markets.

In Asia, Tecnimont has also been selected by a Tier-1 client to execute the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) for an LNG plant, further bolstering its presence in a strategic segment of the global energy market.

The latest wins underline MAIRE's push to capture opportunities arising from growing demand for gas monetization and LNG infrastructure, while expanding its footprint in South America.

Alessandro Bernini, MAIRE CEO, commented: “With these awards aimed at supporting strategic initiatives, we are strengthening our positioning in gas monetization, particularly in the LNG segment, and further reinforcing our presence in South America.”
