Thermax Babcock and Wilcox Energy Solutions (TBWES) has successfully commissioned a 125 TPH HRSG boiler behind a frame 6B gas turbine for a leading refinery in West India. This project underscores TBWES’s expertise in providing sustainable solutions and asset re-energisation.

By salvaging 700 tonnes of steel from the existing unit instead of procuring new components, the project achieved a carbon reduction of 1,325 tCO2, significantly minimising the environmental impact.

The equipment’s life was extended by 15 years through a detailed condition assessment and remaining life assessment study. Refurbishment of the existing auxiliaries and components was executed in a planned and efficient manner, keeping intact desired performance.
