Accurate color matching can make or break the efficiency of a vehicle refinishing job.
Now, Surventis is taking aim at one of the most challenging parts of the process with LightAssist, a new visualization enhancement designed to help painters assess difficult color matches faster and with greater confidence.
The new functionality strengthens the company’s Refinity cloud-based digital platform, which brings products, services and business solutions together in a single ecosystem. Within Refinity, the Color module supports painters across the color matching workflow, from identification and retrieval to match evaluation.
LightAssist builds on these capabilities by adding a new visualization mode to ImagePLUS. The feature enhances the on-screen visibility of subtle differences in color, texture and effect, making potential match candidates easier to compare and assess.
The technology is particularly relevant when working with black and dark effect colors, where variations in undertone, texture and effect can be difficult to detect using conventional visualization methods.

By making subtle differences easier to see, LightAssist is designed to help painters identify unsuitable match candidates earlier and make faster, more informed decisions. The feature does not replace painter expertise or existing refinishing processes; instead, it adds another assessment tool to Refinity’s digital color workflow.
The potential payoff is fewer unnecessary spray-outs, reduced material consumption and less time spent working through non-matching formulas.
Surventis is showcasing LightAssist at Automechanika Frankfurt 2026 as part of its continued expansion of the Refinity ecosystem.
