The company plans to accelerate recruitment of specialists in design, digital delivery and project management
Mott MacDonald is expanding in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, by occupying an additional floor in its current office. This expansion strengthens its capabilities in key sectors—water, energy, and industry—and boosts its global support teams, including HR, IT, and finance, allowing for enhanced operational capacity in the region.
This global engineering and management consultancy operates a growing Indian workforce of over 1,700 professionals across key hubs in Bengaluru, Delhi/Noida, Mumbai, and Chennai. The firm specializes in delivering large-scale digital transformation and engineering services.
As one of India’s most dynamic hubs for infrastructure, innovation, and engineering talent, Ahmedabad is a key growth driver for the region. To capitalize on this, Mott MacDonald is expanding its footprint with a larger office in the fast-evolving Makarba district, a move designed to significantly scale its local workforce and capabilities.
It plans to accelerate recruitment of specialists in design, digital delivery and project management. The expanded team will work with the company’s global network of technical experts, supporting innovation and operational excellence.
The office opening was attended by David Boyland, Group Head of the Global Delivery Services Centre at Mott MacDonald, who said, “Ahmedabad has rapidly emerged as a hub for skilled technical professionals and engineering excellence. The office expansion will help us attract and employ the best talent across the region. We look forward to welcoming new colleagues into our Ahmedabad office as we expand our global delivery network.”
Ruturaj Govilkar, Managing Director for South Asia at Mott MacDonald said, “Our Ahmedabad team has played a significant role in the growth of our South Asia business. This office expansion underscores our commitment to regional development, fostering innovation and creating opportunities for India’s engineering and consulting talent. It is an opportunity to further develop our capabilities and enhance our services to key clients in the region.”
