Heubach Colorants India, a leading producer of pigments and pigment preparations, has strengthened its commitment to sustainability by completing the commissioning of solar energy at its Roha site in Maharashtra. This important milestone has significantly reduced the company's carbon footprint and helped promote a cleaner environment.

Today, the company announced that 55% of the total energy consumed in May 2023 on site was solar-sourced. The Roha site now obtains 75% of its total energy from renewable sources, with solar-sourced electricity and green steam from biomass.

Bharath Sesha, Managing Director of Heubach Colorants India Limited, said, "We're excited to take this important step towards sustainability. We believe that this will reduce our environmental impact and contribute to a healthier planet for future generations. Using renewable energy is a key to Heubach’s strategy to become a more sustainable company."
