Atul Gupta has taken charge as Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of Engineers India Limited (EIL). 

He brings with him over three decades of rich experience in the energy and infrastructure sector. Having served as Director (Commercial) at EIL, he has been at the heart of the organisation's strategic growth, diversification and global expansion. His visionary leadership, strong commercial acumen and focus on innovation have significantly strengthened EIL’s presence across traditional and emerging sectors including energy transition, infrastructure, renewables, green hydrogen, biofuels, nuclear and digital transformation initiatives. 

Under his leadership, EIL is poised to further accelerate its journey towards becoming a globally competitive engineering consultancy and project management organisation aligned with India’s evolving energy and infrastructure priorities. His emphasis on technology-led growth, operational excellence, indigenous capability development and collaborative leadership will continue to steer EIL towards new milestones of excellence and nation-building. 

During his tenure as Director (Commercial), EIL achieved record business growth, expanded its international footprint and strengthened its presence in sunrise sectors through strategic diversification and innovation-led initiatives. He is widely recognised for his expertise across the complete project lifecycle and for fostering a high-performance, future-ready organisational culture. He is a Mechanical Engineer from GBPUAT Pantnagar.
