Dr. Ravi Annavarapu has been appointed as the Managing Director of the Gypsum and Insulation business at Saint-Gobain India. He steps into this pivotal leadership role to steer the growth of the company’s prominent Gyproc and insulation portfolios, reinforcing Saint-Gobain India's strong market foothold.

Dr. Annavarapu brings more than two decades of distinguished, global industrial leadership experience spanning the specialty ingredients, agriculture, and chemical sectors. Prior to joining Saint-Gobain Group in India, he demonstrated a strong track record of driving large-scale corporate growth, serving as the Chief Executive Officer at Calibre Chemicals and as the President of FMC India and Southwest Asia. His foundational career also includes strategic roles as an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company.

Academically highly accomplished, Dr. Annavarapu is an alumnus and Gold Medallist of the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, where he earned his chemical engineering degrees. He further holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) alongside an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.

At Saint-Gobain, his deep technological expertise, strategic acumen, and experience in building cross-border teams will be vital. He will champion the company's multi-million-euro expansion initiatives, focus on sustainable manufacturing, and drive product innovation across India's booming construction and infrastructure sectors.
