GHCL shuts down soda ash plant for maintenance

GHCL Ltd. has temporarily closed the soda ash plant for planned maintenance activities. This annual maintenance shutdown is scheduled to take place from October 9, 2023, to October 12, 2023.

The purpose of this shutdown is to carry out essential maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient and safe operations of our Soda Ash plant. The company says that this maintenance activity has been carefully planned to minimize disruption and downtime.

“During this period, we want to assure our stakeholders that we have a sufficient reserve stock of Soda Ash to meet our customers' requirements. Therefore, there will be no adverse impact on our supply commitments during the aforementioned shutdown period,” GHCL said in a stock Exchange filing.

PCBL commissions 12 MW cogeneration captive power plant

PCBL Ltd has informed the Exchange that the cogeneration captive power plant, in the state of Tamil Nadu set-up by PCBL(TN) Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the company, having a capacity of 12 MW, has been commissioned on 7th October, 2023. With this, the total capacity of the cogeneration power stands at 110 MW.
