Sonatrach and TotalEnergies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) marking the parties' desire to consolidate their partnership and expand their cooperation. This protocol is part of the perspective of carrying out a work program aimed at assessing and developing the hydrocarbon resources of the North-East region of Timimoun, in synergy with existing processing facilities in the region.

The purpose of the MoU is to define the framework for cooperation between the parties, with the aim of concluding a hydrocarbon contract in the identified area of interest, under the aegis of Law No. 19-13 governing hydrocarbon activities.

As a reminder, Sonatrach and TotalEnergies operate, within the framework of association contracts, the contractual areas of TFT II, TFT Sud, Timimoun and Berkine.
