Stallion India Fluorochemicals Limited (SIFL), a leading integrated refrigerants and industrial gases company, has signed an MoU with the Government of Rajasthan to establish a Hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) manufacturing facility at Bhilwara (Hurda), Rajasthan. The proposed project is part of the company’s planned capacity expansion program.

Under the MoU, SIFL has proposed an investment of approximately Rs. 200 crore to set up the HFO manufacturing plant, with work on the production facility expected to begin in 2027. The project is aimed at strengthening the company’s position in advanced, low-global-warming-potential refrigerant solutions.

Commenting on the development, Shazad Rustomji, Managing Director & CEO of Stallion India Fluorochemicals Limited, said: “The signing of this MoU with the Government of Rajasthan marks an important milestone in our expansion journey towards advanced and sustainable refrigerant solutions.

"HFOs represent the next phase of low-global-warming-potential refrigerants, and this proposed facility will significantly strengthen our product portfolio and long-term competitiveness."

He added: "Our expansion is being executed in a calibrated and phased manner. With the R32 project targeted for commissioning by October 2026, followed by initiation of the HFO manufacturing plant, we are building capacity in line with our internal growth plans and long-term turnover objectives.

"Under the MoU, the Company proposes an investment of approximately Rs. 200 crore for the HFO manufacturing facility, start of work on the production plant in 2027.

"Backed by these strategic initiatives, the Company remains confident of achieving its targeted 30–35% revenue CAGR over the next three years, while creating a strong domestic manufacturing base aligned with India’s vision of self-reliance in specialty chemicals and fluorochemicals, and delivering sustainable long-term value for all stakeholders.”

The proposed Rajasthan facility follows SIFL’s broader expansion roadmap, which includes the commissioning of its R32 project by October 2026. Together, these initiatives are expected to enhance domestic manufacturing capabilities and support India’s push toward self-reliance in specialty chemicals and fluorochemicals.
