Everest Kanto Cylinder to set up CNG cylinder production facility

This will be in the form of a joint venture with a local Egyptian partner with majority holding being with EKC FZE

EKC International FZE, a wholly owned subsidiary of Everest Kanto Cylinder Limited, in its board meeting held recently, has given its in-principle approval for setting up of a CNG cylinder production facility in Egypt.

This will be in the form of a Joint Venture with a local Egyptian partner with majority holding being with EKC FZE. This is subject to finalisation of terms and conditions for entering into joint venture agreement and all regulatory approvals as may be applicable.

Everest Kanto Cylinder Limited, a leading manufacturer of seamless steel gas cylinders, has three manufacturing plants Tarapur and Kandla SEZ in India and JAFZA in Dubai. EKC also has a wholly owned overseas subsidiary company CP Industries Holdings, Inc. USA.

EKC Tarapur has the capacity to produce cylinders with water capacity range from 20 to 300 litres, while at Kasez plant a small cylinder line has the capacity from 1 to 15 litres and a large line from 16 to 300 litres. A jumbo cylinder plant is also housed at Kasez which has suitable infrastructure to produce jumbo cylinders of 3,000 litres capacity. EKC Dubai has the capacity to produce cylinders from 1 to 280 litres water capacity and working pressure from 150 - 400 bar.
