Sumitomo Chemical India Limited has informed that the Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) has revoked the said closure order for three months subject to the company fulfilling the stipulations specified in the closure order and complying with the undertaking given by it in the matter. In view of the above, the company has restarted production at its Bhavnagar Site.

On 25th February, 2023 the company had informed about the accident at the company’s Bhavnagar site in the Multi Product Plant producing two products and the letter dated 4th March, 2023 informing that GPCB had issued closure order for the company’s Bhavnagar site.
