Global energy investment group OQ is strengthening its long-term commitment to India’s polymers and petrochemicals market with its participation in PLASTINDIA 2026, signalling deeper industrial cooperation and downstream growth ambitions between Oman and India.

The Group’s presence at the exhibition comes on the back of a recently signed trade agreement between the two countries, opening new pathways for trade, investment and industrial collaboration. OQ said its engagement reflects a strategic push to reinforce Oman–India ties while supporting India’s fast-growing demand for advanced polymer solutions.

At the event, OQ is showcasing its largest polyethylene and polypropylene portfolio to date, featuring 17 application-focused grades developed for high-demand uses across packaging, infrastructure, construction and durable goods. A key highlight is its expanded rotomoulding range, designed to meet rising global demand for durable, long-life materials.

OQ’s rotomoulding grades are tailored for applications such as water tanks and industrial enclosures, where performance under harsh conditions is critical. Products such as Luban LL-R3605UV offer high-impact strength, environmental stress crack resistance (ESCR) and UV stability, enabling reliable performance in India’s demanding climatic and operating environments.

The company is also preparing to launch a new hexene-based rotomoulding grade in the first quarter of 2026, aimed at more demanding applications requiring enhanced mechanical strength and ESCR.

“Rotomoulding is a critical technology for infrastructure applications where durability, consistency and long service life are essential,” said Abdul Rahman Al Tamtami, Vice President Global Marketing at OQ. “By introducing our rotomoulding portfolio to India, we are giving converters access to materials engineered for real operating conditions, whether that is UV exposure, buried installations or long-term mechanical stress, while maintaining stable and reliable processing.”

Beyond rotomoulding, OQ’s broader portfolio spans polypropylene and polyethylene grades used in packaging, storage solutions, piping and durable consumer goods, underscoring what the company describes as an application-led approach shaped by customer requirements.

OQ will also use PLASTINDIA 2026 to highlight progress under the Ladayn Programme, its polymer-to-product manufacturing ecosystem in Oman. The initiative is designed to help Indian converters scale downstream production while gaining access to regional and international markets.

“India is one of the most important growth markets for polymers globally and our focus is on bringing the right materials for the applications that matter most,” said Sadiq Al Lawati, Managing Director of OQ Marketing.

"Our expanded rotomoulding and polypropylene and polyethylene portfolio reflects a deliberate, application led strategy, offering solutions designed for infrastructure, durability and long-term performance.”
