The company has received 5-star for the 5th consecutive year
Tata Chemicals' Aniali Limestone Mine in Gujarat has been conferred with a 5-star rating at the 75th Anniversary and Star Rating Award Ceremony organised by the Union Ministry of Mines.
Tata Chemicals was felicitated with this award by Pralhad Joshi, Minister of Mines. The company has received 5-star for the 5th consecutive year. With over 1,000 applications received, only 76 mines meeting Sustainable Development requirements were awarded this five-star rating.
This esteemed award is a recognition of Tata Chemicals efforts and initiatives undertaken for sustainable development which includes implementation of best practices in mining operations, minerals conservation, rehabilitation & reclamation of mined out area, environment protection and also various steps taken in healthcare, community care and skill development.

This 5-star rating scheme instituted by the Ministry of Mines, Government of India is designed to have a built-in compliance mechanism for environment and forest safeguards while helping in recognizing good performers in the mining sector, encouraging all mining lease holders to strive for excellence.
