Speakers for the session are: Ch. A. P. Rameswara Rao, National President, Bulk Drug Manufacturers Association of India (BDMAI); Dr. Paidi Yella Reddy, Founder, President & CEO, Sapala Organics; K. V. Rama Gopal, Site Manager & Executive Director, Clariant India; Dr. K. The moderator for the Session is Pravin Prashant, Executive Editor, Indian Pharma Post.
The main objective of the conference is to discuss the cost of corrosion and focusing on a framework for the right material selection to solve corrosion problems in Pharmaceutical and Chemical industries especially heat exchanger tubes. Many chemicals are extremely corrosive for industrial equipment such as heat exchangers. The corrosion failures of heat exchanger tubes can cause downtime, contamination of products, and in the worst case - safety hazards. The ability to overcome such manufacturing challenges will be critical to business success therefore, right material selection for new equipment is critical. All this will lead to reducing failures and maintenance costs and help in boosting productivity.
Key points to be covered during the session are: Geopolitics, Government Support, and Policy Realignment; Regulatory Compliance and Quality Control; Dependence on API Imports; Technology, Innovation, and R&D Growth; Strategic Partnerships and CDMOs; Growth in Biologics and Biosimilars; Digital Transformation and Al; Need for Resilient and Diversified Supply Chains; and Green Chemistry and Sustainable Manufacturing.
The Indian Pharmaceutical market is valued at approximately US $55 billion of which India's export market is currently at $30.46 billion and this is expected to grow 2.2 to 2.4 times by 2030, reaching US $120 - $130 billion in value and increasing India's share from 3-3.5% currently to nearly 5% by 2030. To achieve the 2030 target, the Indian Pharmaceutical industry must focus on QuRATE which encompasses five overarching pillars - Quality, Regulation, Access to global markets, Talent, and Entrepreneurial innovation - India can stand out and capture these opportunities.
