Coromandel and Samunnati join forces to expand agri-input access for India’s farmer producer organisations

The partnership will also focus on customized marketing initiatives, product demonstrations, and technology adoption programmes intended to encourage more sustainable agricultural practices

Coromandel International, one of India’s leading agri-solutions providers, has moved to deepen its reach into the country’s farming ecosystem through a new partnership with Samunnati Agri Value Chain Solutions, a major agri-ecosystem platform.
 
The two companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU to expand the supply, promotion and distribution of agri-inputs to Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) across India, aiming to improve last-mile access to quality agricultural products and services.
 
The agreement was formally signed by Madhab Adhikari, EVP & Business Head (Fertiliser, SSP & Nano), Coromandel and Suresh Rajagopalan, Executive Director, Samunnati, in the presence of Narayanan Vellayan, Executive Director – Crop Nutrition, Coromandel, along with senior officials from both organisations.
 
The collaboration is designed to combine Coromandel’s expertise in crop nutrition, crop protection and agri services with Samunnati’s extensive FPO network, with a shared goal of strengthening market access and improving availability of high-quality agri-inputs for farmers.
 
Beyond distribution, the partnership will also focus on customized marketing initiatives, product demonstrations, and technology adoption programmes intended to encourage more sustainable agricultural practices. 
 
Samunnati Finance Private Limited may also extend financial assistance to eligible FPOs and other agri ecosystem participants for procurement of Coromandel products, subject to separate arrangements and regulatory requirements.
