Vinati Organics Limited has announced that the commercial production of Ortho Secondary Butyl Phenol (OSBP) and Di-Secondary Butyl Phenol (DSBP) has commenced on December 8, 2023 at its Lote facility.

The company is the only manufacturer of OSBP and DSBP in India with an installed capacity of 5000 MT and 1000 MT respectively.

OSBP find application in agrochemicals, polystyrene, perfumery & liquid solvent dyes. While DSBP is used for manufacturing surfactants for agrochemicals and also used for manufacturing specialty liquid dyes.

Vinati is currently executing Capex plans of Rs. 600 crores which is spread across FY23 and FY24. This is being spent on expansion of existing capacity of ATBS and towards introduction of new products which will be used in polymerization inhibitors, flavours, fragrances, pharmaceuticals, and pesticides.
