Petrobras has signed an agreement with PRIO that allows the operator to access the Campos Basin Integrated Natural Gas Flow System (SIE-BC) and the Cabiúnas Gas Treatment Unit (UTGCAB). With the signing of the contracts, PRIO will be able to use the gas pipeline network to flow and process natural gas from the Frade fields, where the company holds a 100% stake, and Albacora Leste, with a 90% stake, located in the Campos Basin. The contracts entered into commercial operation on January 1, 2025.

With this measure, Petrobras complies with the provisions of the Gas Law, enabling negotiated access to the flow and processing infrastructures. “The company is concerned with contributing to the strengthening of an open, sustainable and competitive natural gas market, with a diversity of agents in all links of the chain,” says Mauricio Tolmasquim, Director of Energy Transition and Sustainability at Petrobras.

In addition to PRIO, the company already has contracts to share outflow and processing infrastructure with nine other producers in the Santos Basin (SP and RJ), Campos Basin (RJ), Polo Catu (BA) and Polo Cacimbas (ES).
