Board of Dalmia Bharat Sugar approves setting up of Rs. 400 crore grain based distillery

Post commissioning of the project, total distillery capacity of the company would be 1,100 KLPD

The Board of Directors of Dalmia Bharat Sugar and Industries Limited has given approval for setting up of a grain based distillery at Nigohi Unit of the company with a capacity of 250 KLPD with a capital expenditure of Rs. 400 crore, which is expected to be commissioned by September, 2024.

This would be financed by debt and internal accruals. Post commissioning of the project, total distillery capacity of the company would be 1,100 KLPD (cane based 600 KLPD and grain based 500 KLPD).

Capacity expansion at Ramgarh Sugar Unit of the company from 6,600 TCD to 7,000 TCD at a capital expenditure of Rs. 14 crore. The capital expenditure will be financed by internal accruals and it is expected to be commissioned by November, 2023.

Post commissioning of the above project the total crushing capacity of the company would be 38,250 TCD.
