Albemarle Corporation, a global leader in providing essential elements for mobility, energy, connectivity, and health, announced enhancements to its organizational structure aimed at increasing agility, efficiency, and operational excellence. These changes are designed to accelerate the company’s market-led enterprise strategy and strengthen its focus on growth and innovation.

Effective immediately, Mark Mummert will assume the role of Chief Operations Officer, leading an integrated function encompassing resources, manufacturing, capital, and supply chain, while continuing to report to Kent Masters, Albemarle’s Chairman and CEO. In this role, Mummert will optimize Albemarle’s global resources and manufacturing operations, including joint venture management, while overseeing capital projects and supply chain through a fully integrated operating model. With this transition, Netha Johnson will be leaving the company.

Autumn Gagarinas has been appointed Chief People and Workplace Transformation Officer, reporting directly to Masters. Gagarinas will focus on talent development, organizational culture, and the optimization of business processes and technology. She has served as Albemarle’s Vice President of Human Resources for over two years and brings more than two decades of human resources experience to the role.

Melissa Anderson will continue her reporting line to Masters and lead enterprise strategy, growth initiatives, and research and technology as Chief Business Transformation Officer.
