Cummins in India, a leading integrated power solutions provider, has marked the 20th anniversary of its flagship Nurturing Brilliance program with the induction of 520 new scholars for the 2025–26 academic year.
The milestone highlights two decades of sustained investment in building engineering talent from underserved communities.
The initiative, implemented through the Cummins India Foundation, provides scholarships and mentorship support to students from lesser privileged backgrounds pursuing diploma and degree courses in engineering, aimed at preparing them for future-ready careers.
The latest cohort was felicitated at a ceremony held at the Cummins India campus in Pune by Shveta Arya, Managing Director, Cummins India Limited, and Ashish Aggarwal, Chief Administrative Officer, Cummins in India.
This year’s selection process drew strong interest, with over 9,600 applications received nationwide. After a rigorous evaluation, 520 students were selected, including 20 scholars with disabilities, reinforcing the program’s focus on equity and inclusion. Since its inception, Nurturing Brilliance has impacted more than 3,100 students, with 52% being female beneficiaries.

Beyond financial aid, the program functions as a holistic development platform, covering tuition fees, academic expenses, and learning resources while also focusing on mentorship, industry exposure, and employability training.
Scholars receive structured guidance from Cummins leaders, alongside soft skills development and career readiness support, building a long-term network of students and mentors for continuous learning and professional growth.
