FDC plans capex investment of Rs. 100 cr

FDC Limited is in the process to expand its production capacity by installation of an additional BFS Machine at the company's existing plant located at 8-8, MIDC Area, Aurangabad.

FDC Limited is in the process to expand its production capacity by installation of an additional BFS Machine at the company's existing plant located at 8-8, MIDC Area, Aurangabad.

The company's estimated cost towards the enhancement of production capacity at the plant would be around Rs. 74 crores at first stage and around Rs. 26 crores at later stage.

The said Capex investment is spread over a period of 20 months and the total production capacity of the plant is likely to be increased by 30 to 33% after commissioning and completion of aII regulatory requirements.

FDC Limited is a forerunner in manufacturing and marketing of Oral Rehydration Salts (ORS) and Ophthalmics. FDC has also set-up globally approved, multi-location manufacturing facilities for Active Pharmaceuticals Ingredients (APIs) as well as Finished Dosage Forms. These facilities are located at Roha, Waluj and Sinnar in Maharashtra, Verna in Goa and Baddi in Himachal Pradesh. FDC markets more than 300 products in India and exports many of these to over 50 countries.
