Gobind Sugar Mills stops ethanol plant due to shortage of molasses

GSML is exploring molasses availability and the plant will be re-started accordingly.

Gobind Sugar Mills Limited (GSML), a material subsidiary company of Zuari Global Limited, has stopped its ethanol plant due to shortage of molasses stock and it has started annual maintenance with effect from yesterday i.e. 20th August 2021.

GSML is exploring molasses availability and the plant will be re-started accordingly. The company will announce once ethanol plant operation of GSML resumes.

The company reported net profit of Rs 43.00 crore in the quarter ended March 2021 as against net loss of Rs 39.59 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2020. Sales rose 17.83% to Rs 244.89 crore in the quarter ended March 2021 as against Rs 207.84 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2020.
