JSR to form a new subsidiary for semiconductor materials in Taiwan

The operation is scheduled to start in April 2022

JSR Corporation has announced its establishment of JSR Electronic Materials Taiwan Co., Ltd., a subsidiary in Tai Yuen, Hsinchu (Tai Yuen Hi-Tech Industrial Park) Taiwan, to strengthen the sales, marketing and R&D activities of its semiconductor materials business in Taiwan. The operation is scheduled to start in April 2022.
 
Taiwan is home to specialized semiconductor foundries that undertakes manufacturing for the world’s fabless semiconductor companies and is leading semiconductor manufacturing technologies. It also has memory and leading OSAT companies that handle back-end packaging processes. With the semiconductor market expected to expand, Taiwan is an important location where a wide range of business opportunities, from front-end to back-end processes, are expected.
 
To date, JSR has promoted its activities in Taiwan market through its Taiwan-based branch office. With the establishment of the new subsidiary, the company will expand its business functions in the region to further enhance customer engagement, technology development activities and marketing.
 
Last year, JSR had established a subsidiary in Singapore to strengthen the sales and marketing activities of the Semiconductor materials business in Singapore and Southeast Asia.
