New spray dryer facility increases its supply capabilities in maltodextrins and dried glucose syrups

Roquette has inaugurated its latest expansion project in Pantnagar to address the growing demand from food and nutrition markets in the region. The new world-class spray dryer at the Roquette site in Pantnagar, India, meets and assures the same high-quality global standards of its GLUCIDEX global product range. This new facility is a part of Roquette’s global network of manufacturing operations that adheres to stringent process safety standards.
 
GLUCIDEX maltodextrins and dried glucose syrups are plant-based carbohydrates that provide fully available and high-quality energy from the youngest to the oldest consumers. They are key ingredient solutions for food formulators to bring targeted nutrition such as sports nutrition, senior and clinical nutrition, to consumers for a healthier lifestyle.
 
The state-of-the-art maltodextrin tower is a clear proof point of Roquette’s strong position to address the market needs in maltodextrin and dried glucose syrups for India, the Middle East, Africa and Southeast Asia through an additional supply capability.  
 
The facility was inaugurated by Honorable Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami, State government officials and customers from food industry.

The Roquette plant at its Pantnagar site is spread on a land area of 32.5 acres. The new maltodextrin tower inaugurated is now India’s largest spray tower with state-of-the-art technology to produce a wide range of  grades adhering to stringent food safety measures and controls. The project has created 65 highly skilled direct jobs and counted on the support of onsite experts from other Roquette locations to ensure best quality and service for customers. In addition, this project is in line with the “Make in India” strategy as the new facility will not only serve the local market in India but will also be used for exporting to Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
