Industrial measurement leader SIKORA has rolled out a trio of high-impact technologies aimed at transforming cable and wire manufacturing—promising tighter quality control, faster production, and significant cuts in material use.

The company, part of MAAG Group and Dover, introduced the new systems as demand intensifies for more efficient and precise manufacturing processes across the global cable industry.

"SIKORA's slogan, 'Technology to Perfection,' underscores our commitment to delivering precise measurement and inspection solutions tailored to support our customers' production requirements," said Christian Frank, General Manager of SIKORA. "Our latest innovations will help cable manufacturers improve product quality, reduce material consumption and maintain stable, efficient production processes."

At the center of the launch is an expanded LASER PRO diameter measurement line, now capable of handling cables up to 110 mm—opening the door to high-voltage and heavy-duty applications. The move significantly broadens the system’s reach beyond its previous 0.1 to 51 mm range.

SIKORA is also debuting its X-RAY 6000 PRO and X-RAY 6000 PURE systems, delivering real-time monitoring of wall thickness, eccentricity, and diameter. The technology is designed to give manufacturers tighter control over insulation and sheathing processes—key to cutting excess material and ensuring consistent output.

Rounding out the lineup is the LM PRO length measuring system, a contact-free solution boasting ±0.05% accuracy. By eliminating mechanical wear and slip, the system ensures reliable measurements from a complete standstill to full production speed—without the need for recalibration.

The company will showcase the new technologies at wire 2026, the industry’s flagship trade fair in Düsseldorf, Germany, running April 13–17. The event is expected to draw more than 1,500 exhibitors from 60 countries, highlighting the latest innovations shaping the future of cable and wire manufacturing.
