Ube Industries signs UN global compact

Ube Industries and its Group companies are committed to supporting and steadily implementing the UN Global Compact Ten Principles

Ube Industries has signed the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and became an official participant on April 21, 2021. In addition, the Company joined the UN Global Compact Network Japan, the local network of Global Compact participants in Japan.

The UNGC is a set of voluntary principles for companies and organizations committed to acting as good corporate and organizational citizens. This global initiative aims to achieve sustainable growth in the international community by encouraging responsible and creative leadership.

In the spirit of its founding principles and management philosophy, Ube Industries and its Group companies are committed to supporting and steadily implementing the UN Global Compact Ten Principles in the four areas of human rights, labor, the environment, and anti-corruption, and to helping to build a sustainable world through its global activities.
