Zeon launches subscription-based R&D data system to transform elastomer innovation

The system is designed to centralize and streamline R&D data for rubber products

Zeon Corporation has unveiled a new data management system aimed at reshaping how elastomer research and development is conducted, marking its first-ever subscription-based service offering.

The system is designed to centralize and streamline R&D data for rubber products, addressing a long-standing industry problem of fragmented information storage.

“Data management presents a number of challenges in the development of elastomer products. Because data is often distributed across multiple systems rather than centrally managed, organizations can find it difficult to leverage historical data effectively.”

Built specifically for rubber material R&D workflows, the platform integrates master data for major compounding agents available in Japan with catalog information, allowing researchers to quickly access and apply critical data in daily development work.

Zeon says the system combines functionality with usability, featuring an intuitive interface tailored to improve visibility and efficiency in R&D operations.

“The system also features an intuitive user interface and user experience. Its design is optimized for rubber material R&D, with a focus on usability and data visibility.”

The company plans to roll out the platform first in Japan before expanding to other markets, while continuing to upgrade its capabilities based on customer feedback.
