New age distribution and supply chain models are becoming increasingly popular in the chemical industry in India and around the world. These models leverage technology and innovation to create more efficient and effective systems for managing supply chains and delivering products to customers.

New distribution models such as the use of digital platforms for ordering and tracking chemicals are evolving. Many companies now offer online portals that allow customers to place orders, track shipments, and manage their accounts electronically. These platforms are typically more efficient and user-friendly than traditional order processing systems, and they can help to reduce errors and improve accuracy.

Another example of a new age supply chain model is the use of smart logistics technologies like RFID and IoT. These technologies enable companies to track products and shipments in real-time, allowing for more accurate inventory management and faster delivery times. In addition to these innovations, the chemical industry is also exploring new approaches to logistics and distribution, such as: Outsourcing logistics to third-party providers; Collaborative supply chain models; and Sustainable supply chain practices.

Key discussion points during panel discussion are: Market trends in chemical distribution; Threats to traditional distribution model; Market consolidation in chemical distribution; Growth drivers - battery, hydrogen, and CCU; Digitalisation of distribution value chain; Optimizing customer value chain; Increased environmental regulations; and ensuring safety & reducing carbon footprint.
