Arkema has joined the Ellen MacArthur Foundation as a Network Member to strengthen its commitment and accelerate its transition to a circular economy.

“We are delighted to be joining the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s Network to progress towards a more circular business, working with other network organizations to drive industry-wide change. Through this commitment, Arkema will contribute more actively to the transformation of value chains towards circular business models, which will keep products in use longer and reduce waste", said Emmanuelle BROMET, VP Sustainable Development, Arkema.

Arkema is already committed in developing more circular solutions, making progress every year. In 2024, notably:

*The ZEBRA (Zero wastE Blade ReseArch) project has marked a significant leap forward in the recycling and circular economy for wind turbine blades, demonstrating a breakthrough in the complete recycling of thermoplastic blades based on its Elium resin and an innovative adhesive from Bostik (the adhesive solutions segment of Arkema).

* With Agiplast, its state-of-the-art Specialty polymers recycling center in Italy, Arkema collects and mechanically recycles high-performance materials such as PA11, PA12, PEBAX, and PVDF under the Virtucycle® program. More than 26 certified grades are now certified for recycled content by SCS Global Services

*Arkema’s Kynar Aquatec PVDF range has also received the « Solar Impulse Efficient Solution » label, rewarding its high efficiency in durable cool roof solutions that last 300% to 400% longer than traditional cool roof chemistries and a 90% reduction in lifetime VOC emissions.
