Arkema, a leader in specialty materials, has earned ISCC PLUS certification of its waterborne acrylic resins in St. Charles (US). The range of Mass Balance solutions includes waterborne resins with up to 90 per cent bio-attributed content.

It will support the development of more sustainable solutions for coatings, adhesives for new energies, green mobility, living comfort, infrastructure efficiency and more.

“To address climate change and preserve resources, we are gradually substituting virgin fossil feedstocks with renewable and more circular sources, In addition to the segregated model, the mass balance approach enables industries to speed up CO2 emissions reduction and enhance circularity throughout the value chain. This achievement also expands our network of certified Arkema facilities, helping companies across the value chain to reach their objectives of carbon footprint reduction,” said Neil Tariq, Global Business Director, Coating Resins at Arkema.

The ISCC PLUS certification of products made at this site adds to Arkema Coating Solutions certifications worldwide.
