IMCD achieves higher ESG ratings from ISS ESG and Sustainalytics

Sustainalytics has reduced IMCD’s ESG Risk Rating from 12.6 to 11.6

IMCD a leading global distributor and formulator of speciality chemicals and ingredients, has received upgraded ESG ratings from both ISS ESG and Sustainalytics, underscoring its continued progress in environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and strong governance practices.

The double recognition follows IMCD’s EcoVadis Platinum medal earlier this year, placing the Company among the top 1per cent of organisations worldwide for sustainability performance.

IMCD’s ESG Corporate Rating from ISS ESG has been elevated to B-, moving the Company above the industry average. This improvement reflects IMCD’s robust management of ESG-related risks and opportunities, enhanced transparency in public reporting, and the integration of responsible business practices across its global operations. ISS ESG ratings range from A+ (excellent) to D (poor).

Sustainalytics has reduced IMCD’s ESG Risk Rating from 12.6 to 11.6, maintaining its classification in the “low risk” category. The lower score highlights IMCD’s strong oversight of material ESG issues, best-in-class disclosure standards, and long-term accountability to stakeholders. Sustainalytics scores range from 0 (best) to 100 (worst).

Cecile Westerhuis, Group Director, Sustainability, commented: “These upgrades are the result of clear direction and dedicated work across all teams and functions. From our technical laboratories to logistics and commercial operations, every part of the business plays a role in making sustainability a reality. These ratings confirm that our efforts are both credible and measurable.”
