Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation (MCC) will absorb and integrate its wholly owned subsidiary Mitsubishi-Chemical Foods Corporation effect April 1, 2021.

Guided by its motto “Tasty, Healthy & Convenient,” MFC has expanded its business as a best partner for customers in the food and health fields by developing a wide range of food ingredients—notably sugar esters and vitamin E, for which it holds top market shares—and pharmaceutical ingredients and supplying safe ingredients and products.

MCC has reviewed its business units, and in April of this year will reorganize and consolidate them in alignment with products and market sectors. In conjunction with this reorganization, by integrating MFC, MCC will consolidate MCC Group resources pertaining to business fields related to food, water, and health in all areas from basic research to product development, manufacturing, sales, and technical services. MCC will build new business models considering introduction of outside resources, and contribute to the creation of a sustainable society by providing high-added-value solutions.

Since the Mitsubishi Chemical Holdings Group’s medium- to long-term basic management strategy, KAITEKI Vision 30, has identified social issues requiring resolution including the need to supply food sustainably, supply and use water sustainably, and materialize healthy and vibrant lifestyles, MCC aims to expand and enhance business fields relating to these issues.
