Brenntag, the world’s largest chemicals and ingredients distributor, has announced a major expansion of its global partnership with Women in Chemicals (WIC) beginning in 2026, strengthening a long-running alliance aimed at advancing gender equity and professional development across the chemical industry.
The expanded agreement deepens collaboration between Brenntag and the international non-profit, which supports women and allies through mentorship, education, networking, and leadership programs.
Since WIC’s founding in 2021, the two organizations have worked together on conferences, regional initiatives, and high-profile industry events designed to increase access to career development and raise the visibility of women in the global chemicals sector.
Kylie Wittl, Women in Chemicals Co-Founder and Executive Board Member, said: “We are thrilled to see this elevated partnership with Brenntag come to life. It’s a union that accelerates our long-term mission to empower women across the global chemical industry.
"From day one, our goal has been to build an authentic, support-centric community where women can connect, collaborate, and combine their superpowers to break barriers and expand opportunities. Brenntag’s global reach and commitment to inclusion strengthen our ability to do exactly that. This transformative partnership enhances our visibility, deepens our infrastructure, and positions Women in Chemicals to deliver even greater impact for our members worldwide.”
Brenntag said the expanded sponsorship reflects both the scale of its existing engagement and its commitment to fostering a more inclusive industry. More than 500 Brenntag employees—particularly in North America—are already involved with Women in Chemicals and its programs.
“We have supported Women in Chemicals for many years and are proud to already have more than 500 Brenntag colleagues, especially in North America, engaged with the organization and its events.
"This sponsorship is a way for us to deepen and expand our relationship, both in terms of enabling Women in Chemicals as well as engaging our employees worldwide to foster an inclusive workplace and advancing gender equity, professional growth, and female business community across the chemical industry”, said Francis Bracke-Schröder, CHRO Brenntag Group.
Under the expanded partnership, Brenntag will continue as Title Sponsor of the Women in Chemicals Annual Conference and maintain a joint presence at major industry events including AFPM and EPCA. From 2026, Brenntag will also take on an enhanced role as a Title Corporate Sponsor, supporting the delivery of expanded virtual and in-person programming.
